Description
This Buttery Herb Stuffing is the ultimate side dish for your Thanksgiving feast. Featuring a rich, savory blend of fresh herbs, butter, and toasted bread cubes, it delivers the perfect balance of flavors and textures.
Ingredients
– 1 loaf of day-old crusty bread, cubed
– 1 cup unsalted butter
– 1 large onion, diced
– 3 celery stalks, diced
– 3 garlic cloves, minced
– 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
– 2 tablespoons chopped fresh sage
– 1 tablespoon chopped fresh rosemary
– 1 tablespoon chopped fresh thyme
– 1 teaspoon salt
– 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
– 1 cup low-sodium chicken or vegetable broth
Instructions
1. 1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
2. 2. Spread the cubed bread on a large baking sheet and toast in the oven for 10-15 minutes, stirring occasionally, until golden brown.
3. 3. In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the diced onion and celery, and sauté for 8-10 minutes, until the vegetables are soft and translucent.
4. 4. Stir in the minced garlic and cook for an additional 2 minutes, until fragrant.
5. 5. Remove the skillet from heat and stir in the toasted bread cubes, chopped parsley, sage, rosemary, thyme, salt, and black pepper.
6. 6. Gradually add the broth, tossing the mixture gently to evenly distribute the liquid.
7. 7. Transfer the stuffing to a greased 9×13-inch baking dish.
8. 8. Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and crispy.
9. 9. Serve the Buttery Herb Stuffing warm, alongside your Thanksgiving turkey and other holiday favorites.
Notes
For a softer, more moist stuffing, add an extra 1/4 cup of broth. For a crunchier texture, bake the stuffing for an additional 5-10 minutes. Leftover stuffing can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 4 days.
