Description

Indulge in the rich, buttery goodness of these Brown Butter Apple Blondies with a decadent Cinnamon Maple Glaze. A quick and foolproof recipe that’s perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

– 1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter

– 2 cups all-purpose flour

– 1 teaspoon baking powder

– 1/2 teaspoon salt

– 1 1/2 cups packed brown sugar

– 2 large eggs

– 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

– 2 medium Granny Smith apples, peeled, cored, and diced

– 1 cup maple syrup

– 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

Instructions

1. – Preheat the oven to 350°F. Grease a 9×13-inch baking pan.

2. – In a medium saucepan, cook the butter over medium heat, stirring constantly, until it turns golden brown and has a nutty aroma, about 5-7 minutes. Pour the browned butter into a heatproof bowl and set aside to cool slightly.

3. – In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.

4. – In a large bowl, beat the brown sugar and eggs together until light and fluffy, about 2-3 minutes. Stir in the vanilla and the slightly cooled browned butter.

5. – Fold the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients until just combined. Gently fold in the diced apples.

6. – Spread the batter evenly into the prepared baking pan.

7. – Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Allow the blondies to cool completely in the pan.

8. – In a small saucepan, heat the maple syrup and cinnamon over medium heat, stirring frequently, until the mixture is warm and fragrant, about 2-3 minutes. Drizzle the cinnamon maple glaze over the cooled blondies.

9. – Cut the blondies into squares and serve. Enjoy!

Notes

For a more pronounced apple flavor, you can add 1 teaspoon of apple pie spice to the batter. These blondies can be stored in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 4 days.
