Instructions
1️⃣ Prepare the Brisket:
Preheat your oven to 300°F (150°C). In a small bowl, mix salt, pepper, smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, cumin, and chili powder. Rub the spice mixture all over the brisket.
2️⃣ Sear the Brisket:
In a large skillet over medium-high heat, sear the brisket on both sides until browned, about 3-4 minutes per side.
3️⃣ Cook in the Oven:
Transfer the brisket to a roasting pan. Pour the beef broth (or BBQ sauce) around the brisket. Cover the pan tightly with foil and place it in the preheated oven. Bake for 3-4 hours, or until the brisket is fork-tender.
4️⃣ Rest and Slice:
Once cooked, remove the brisket from the oven and let it rest for 15-20 minutes. Slice the brisket against the grain into thin slices.
5️⃣ Assemble the Sandwiches:
On each sandwich roll, layer slices of brisket, top with sliced tomatoes, lettuce or coleslaw, and any optional toppings like bacon or BBQ sauce.
6️⃣ Serve:
Serve the brisket sandwiches warm and enjoy your delicious creation! ?️✨
