Description

Tender, smoky beef brisket piled high on a toasted bun, topped with tangy BBQ sauce and your favorite fixings for the ultimate comfort food sandwich.

Ingredients

For the Brisket:

  • ? 3-4 pounds beef brisket
  • ? Salt and pepper to taste
  • ? 2 tablespoons smoked paprika
  • ? 1 tablespoon garlic powder
  • ? 1 tablespoon onion powder
  • ? 1 teaspoon cumin
  • ? 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • ? 1 cup beef broth (or BBQ sauce for extra flavor)

For the Sandwiches:

  • ? 4-6 sandwich rolls or brioche buns
  • ? Sliced tomatoes (for topping)
  • ? Lettuce or coleslaw (for topping)
  • ? Optional: cooked bacon slices
  • ? Optional: BBQ sauce for drizzling

Instructions

1️⃣ Prepare the Brisket:
Preheat your oven to 300°F (150°C). In a small bowl, mix salt, pepper, smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, cumin, and chili powder. Rub the spice mixture all over the brisket.

2️⃣ Sear the Brisket:
In a large skillet over medium-high heat, sear the brisket on both sides until browned, about 3-4 minutes per side.

3️⃣ Cook in the Oven:
Transfer the brisket to a roasting pan. Pour the beef broth (or BBQ sauce) around the brisket. Cover the pan tightly with foil and place it in the preheated oven. Bake for 3-4 hours, or until the brisket is fork-tender.

4️⃣ Rest and Slice:
Once cooked, remove the brisket from the oven and let it rest for 15-20 minutes. Slice the brisket against the grain into thin slices.

5️⃣ Assemble the Sandwiches:
On each sandwich roll, layer slices of brisket, top with sliced tomatoes, lettuce or coleslaw, and any optional toppings like bacon or BBQ sauce.

6️⃣ Serve:
Serve the brisket sandwiches warm and enjoy your delicious creation! ?️✨
