Description

Perfectly cooked Thanksgiving green beans are a classic, must-have side dish for your holiday feast. Tender, flavorful, and ready in just 5 minutes, these green beans are a life-changing addition to your Thanksgiving table.

Ingredients

– 1 lb fresh green beans, trimmed

– 2 tbsp unsalted butter

– 2 cloves garlic, minced

– 1/4 tsp salt

– 1/8 tsp black pepper

Instructions

1. 1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the green beans and cook for 3-4 minutes, until tender-crisp.

2. 2. Drain the green beans and immediately transfer them to an ice bath to stop the cooking.

3. 3. In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for 1 minute, until fragrant.

4. 4. Add the blanched green beans to the skillet and toss to coat them in the garlic butter. Season with salt and pepper.

5. 5. Cook for 2-3 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the beans are heated through and the flavors have melded.

6. 6. Serve the Thanksgiving green beans hot, garnished with chopped parsley or toasted almonds, if desired.

Notes

For a crunchy topping, sprinkle the green beans with toasted slivered almonds or crispy fried onions before serving. You can also add a squeeze of lemon juice or a sprinkle of Parmesan cheese for extra flavor.
