Ingredients

– 1 sheet puff pastry, thawed

– 1 (8 oz) wheel of brie cheese

– 2 tablespoons honey

– 4-5 fresh figs, sliced

Instructions

1. – Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).

2. – Unfold the puff pastry sheet and place the brie wheel in the center.

3. – Wrap the puff pastry around the brie, pressing the seams to seal.

4. – Place the wrapped brie seam-side down on a parchment-lined baking sheet.

5. – Brush the top and sides of the puff pastry with a light coating of egg wash (1 egg beaten with 1 tablespoon of water).

6. – Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the pastry is golden brown.

7. – Remove from the oven and let cool for 5 minutes.

8. – Drizzle the warm baked brie with honey and top with sliced fresh figs.

9. – Serve immediately with crackers, bread, or your favorite accompaniments.

Notes

– For a festive touch, you can add a sprinkling of chopped nuts or a sprinkle of dried cranberries or rosemary.

– Baked brie is best served warm, so plan to serve it right after baking.

– Leftovers can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days, but the pastry may lose its crispness.
