Ingredients
– 4 large apples, peeled, cored, and diced
– 1 cup brown sugar
– 1/2 cup whiskey
– 8 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled
– 1 tsp cinnamon
– 1/2 tsp nutmeg
– 1/4 tsp cloves
– 1/4 tsp salt
Instructions
1. – In a large saucepan, combine the diced apples, brown sugar, and whiskey. Bring to a simmer over medium heat, stirring occasionally.
2. – Reduce heat to low and let the mixture simmer for 20-25 minutes, stirring frequently, until the apples have softened and the jam has thickened.
3. – Remove from heat and stir in the crumbled bacon, cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves, and salt.
4. – Transfer the jam to a clean jar or airtight container and let cool completely before refrigerating.
